Here is the second pic. It is not the best picture but the pods grow upward. The peppers look to pretty to eat.

Here is a link that might be useful:

They look just like the Fluorescent Purple Peppers I grew from seeds I got from Pepper Joe's. -t.r.s.

Anyone out there with a clue what these are I would greatly appreciate it.

This may not help much, but maybe you can check all the pepper varieties at your seed source to see how many purple ones may have ended up in the mystery mix? That might at least narrow it down. There are an awful lot of purple varieties out there these days, so it may be difficult to pin point it.

look like chinese 5-color to me. They have purple leaves, purple flowers, and the peppers start off purple before going through the colors.

Thank you for the input.I never thought to check with the supplier. Thank you country boy as well. I did not know that the chinese 5 peppers all start out purple and then change. I don't know if I will get to see it happen. It has been so cold here in Florida.I know. I should shut up. But we are not used to this shat.My bed sheets can only postpone the inevitable. I will build a green house next year. Our move south for the winter. Ha ha

Hey Romy, not sure what part of FL you are in(I'm in Tampa). But I just bring the plants inside on nights that we have a frost warning. I dug them up and put them in buckets for the winter.

Was going to try covering them with hay(live on a farm) but never got around to it. I was pulling them out of the ground at midnight a couple weeks ago when we got our first frost.
