Yes it's a bloom congratulations to you! I've never had the pleasure & have grown a number of them for close to 10 yrs.

I've only seen bloom in person a couple of times, so don't know how long it will take to continue growing before it blooms or if it will be fragrant. It will get alot taller & the blooms will open, do a search here you'll see some open blooms. They sometimes remind me of firecrackers.

Some varieties are fragrant, don't know abt all of them.

It is a flower spike, and will have long white flowers. They are usually fragrant and while they are also open during daylight hours it is assummed they are pollinated by night fliers such as moths attracted by the aroma. Yale
