Well I can't answer most of yr. questions, but if we ARE talking abt Sans. I'd never root them in plastic bags, too prone to rot from holding in moisture. I do my Sans. cuttings in the open air in cups of pumice or perlite & water very rarely 'til I see new growth, when I'll give it a real watering.

If you did bag it, try opening the bag a little bit at first, then every day or 2 open it up some more each time, 'til you can take the bag off altogether. Do not water the plant.

I have no idea what kind of Sans. you're talking abt, but you're first starting the plants, so (to me) it's way too soon to be thinking abt offsets.

I'd leave them in their starter pots for some time, these are slow growing plants as a rule. They also do well when underpotted, so pls. don't be in a hurry to repot them to larger. Give them good light (they can take direct sun if exposed to it gradually) & go easy on the water 'til they're bigger & we're more into Spring Summer when they'll be growing more actively.

I understand you're eager, but these are low-maintenance plants which do best w/ minimal care, no fussing pls., the plants tend not to like it.
