Within five years you may have leaves up to 2 metres high providing your growing conditions are good. Plenty of heat & good light in the Winter. In temperate regions it is rare for Sans to attain their full potential height as they do in their natural habitats where they generally grow the year round. Only to rest when there is a lack of water.

thanks for your answer. I have good conditions, only short days during wintertime (8h) and then they get only about 18°C. Is it good to cut the young shoot from the mothershoot each year or is better to leave it, and can I go faster then.

Sansevieria pups aren't really seperate plants from their mother. The way that Sansevieria grow, the plants stay connected, and the parent stays alive for quite a while. I tend to think of them as one big plant (the moterh with all her pups).

I have some Sansevieria species that only grow one leaf per growth. If I constantly divide this, it will revert back to juvinile form.

My Sansevieria cylindrica cylindrica grows larger pups every growth cycle IF I keep the plants connected. I get fewer plants this way, but each plant is larger.

I realize that this is anectdotal, so you might want to consider all of your options before you commit to dividing your plant.
