It might help if you were more specific as to which Salvias you planted, and which zone you are located. Many species will start to flower in June, others may not flower until August. Depends on the species, and your climate.

But...wish you success with all of them.

Robinmi- I am not sure what kind of Salvias they are- I did buy them at Lowes so i'm sure they aren't anything special. I know that doesn't give much detail but I tossed the plastic identification stakes before I found out there are so many types of Salvias.
It looks like my zone is 7a.
Here is another newbie question- do they regrow from the ground up or do they start flowering from the old stems? I'm having a sinking feeling I didn't do something right before frost hit :(

Once again it will tough to tell you how they bloom without knowing what they are. Some Salvias, like greggii, are very woody and bloom off of growth from that old wood; others, like leucantha, get new grow from the ground up every Spring. I suggest you buy Betsy Clebsch's book "A Book of Salvias" so you can perhaps identify what you have.

You have got to be the nicest and most helpful person I have ever encountered with Lowes! I am almost 100% certain they are the sylvestris variety.

Any suggestions on how to care for them? I am pretty new to gardening so any advice would be so helpful and much appreciated.

If it's May Night all you should be doing is waiting! I found those to be very carefree.
