I have an Autumn sage and I'm not sure if they are supposed to be divided or just pruned and propogated from cuttings and seeds.

On the Texas A&M website division was not listed as a form of propagation, although dividing was listed as a form a of propagation with most other perrenials. I've read about dividing them, but I'm not sure it would work and I don't want to harm my plant. It looks like it's ready to be divided because it has sparse foilage in teh middle part of the plant.
