help with seedlings

I have seedlings that were started in the sun that are a few inches tall now. If some are shade or part shade salvias should they not be in full sun now as I am waiting for good root growth. They are in 4 in. pots.We have had some 50* to mid 70 days.

Paulette:
You should be fine in the sun as temeratures get warmer
(depending on species) the shade Salvia's will need to be
in the shade. I would say look for temps to be above 85
on a regular basis to move them into protection of shade.
Just curious what species are you growing and which part of California?
