Hi Karen, it is 'Bantel's Sensation' There are more than one variety? of this plant, Hermine has pictures of them in her book. If you have S. 'Stella' the name has recently been changed to 'Sophie' who ever has been changing names faster than be can grow them or create them. I have also heard that the genus name is also being changed again. I don't believe it is offical yet. What is happening is that all names must be rolled back to the first name that was correctly described and properly published and yes serious collectors are going nuts with this. I am not saying that you should toss out the label that was with the plant when you got it and it not my fault. Norma

I don't have any of Bantel's S. but it's a favorite, unfortunately I've tried & lost it twice (small divisions). I'm especially fond of green & white variegation, while I' don't care for green & yellow variegation at all. I hope to try Bantel's again someday.

Horwoodii, I should have taken the time to wash it off, but it was cold so afraid to do so, notice the raised roots, it had no other place to go other than up and out. Some species do this some go out the holes at the bottom of the pot. (S. Masoniana) and out the door. LOL [;o) Norma
