What's the story with folding leafs, is this some sign of something?

Good morning! I think that when the leaves begin to fold it means they're thirsty, but I would be careful watering with this mix. I water freely, but I have mine in pumice. Do you have your other Sans in this mix? Are they doing well?

Morning to you too LMS, Yes I actually do but I could add some pumice to the mix or just put it in all pumice if that would help the rooting process. Thanks,

Hi Greg!

Bob Smoley who sells Sansevierias recommends at least 30% pumice for these guys. I wanted to be safe since I had already lost a few when he gave me this advice, so I went for pure pumice. Now I can water more frequently, leaves that were folded are opening up... I am not sure if removing all soil was best, but they're doing well.
