They're at it again...at 3 different nurseries this week I've come across a salvia looking rather like a guaranitica...and labeled with a big, bright, pretty label as 'Canary Island Salvia'. It's certainly not canariensis. After the third one and seeing that they're all grown by the same grower, I decided to look the grower up. Surprise! The nursery is about a mile from me...think I'll drop a note in their mailbox. I also now know that I can't trust any of their other labels either. Probably the same people who labeled regular eggplant starts as 'Japanese' last year....
