Here is another mystery salvia that I planted and forgot the name!

It looks like salvia aurea but could be salvia lanceolata.

I agree with Robin. Aurea doesn't have narrow leaves.

I agree also with caution, since S. African sages could easily hybridize and there are variable species amongst them, leading to confusion.

Do you think this is even a Salvia? The flowers don't look right. It looks more like a form of Artemesia to me.

The photo shows the calyces, not the flowers. Pink calyces are the norm for Salvia lanceolata.

Robinmi - you are right as the other pic was older. Now it is flowering.
