I thought we would try it my sand beds w my daylilies
being they will need some additional water. Lynn Lowery
had this at his nursery in East Texas it was great there.
I did not know how they will handle triple digit heat and
alkaline water.

According to Bob McCartney, the Clinopodiums like sand banks along streams and part shade. With triple digit temps, you will probably need some shade, and some moisture at about a foot down.

Now that I am located on the edge of the Sand Hills, I'll try these again myself.

I am trying Clinopodium georgianum for the first time this year. It was planted a couple of weeks ago beyond the reach of the hose and it hasn't rained since. Like you I had been curious about the genus for a couple of years.
