I have found out that Sans love water as long as it is warm out and they receive plenty of light. So what other conditions will they be exposed to? They could also go weeks with out water with no ill effects also, but not in direct sun.

It's starting to get chilly here already. I could move Sans pot near a window with a few hours of sun indoors and then leave it with a full water globe to feed on as soil dries. I'll test this out before I leave.

I've never used the globes, so can't comment on their use, but It's good to remember that sans are tropical plants. I live near Los Angeles and wouldn't call it tropical. However, my sans live outdoors, in pots, all year. I usually age and acidify my water and try not to let them dry out - ever - even in winter. If you want "show" plants you really have to avoid drying tips. My "soft leaved" sans like parva, actually sit in about 1" water all the time.

If you are going to be gone less than a month, I would water well before I left, and leave the neighbor out of it.
