Rough winter here in Austin.
I have several of S. coccinea forms which make different
plants from the originals.
The only other hybrid that I have seen
is one with S.splendens. Nice plant but not hardy.

Art, this is probably what is happening in my garden. I only planted s. coccinea 'Forest Fire Red', and 'Coral Nymph', but now have those plus a white and several dark rose pink ones. Of course they reseed everywhere, but I thought it was interesting that I got these other colors, and wondered if it was a common occurrence.

This a common occurence for me the exception is no rose colored forms.So the rose colored form is a keeper and the white form (Check the height on Snow Nymph for matching your white). Your a lot wetter in Pearland than I am in Austin.

I have the one's you mentioned plus a species white form,
"Brenthurst"(Pink) and Lady in Red(LIR). I have some LIR
forms that are short like Forest Fire and a tall form that
has the black Caylxes like forest Fire but topping out at 3'. So variations due occur. If you can get cuttings of your keepers and segregate them(so no color mixing happens) you can reproduce the same plants from seed in other parts of your yard. Have fun regardless.That is one reason many of use grow these plants is seeing what surprises show up!
