I did respond but it didn't seem to make it. I plant the whole leaf, cut up into 6" pieces, Some species have short leaves, so I just use the complete leaf. like I explained in a earlier post. I don't tnink the tips do as well, not enough water in them for them to make it. I find that the bottom parts of the leaf do much better. I think it will depend on the thickness of each individul species. It will work with S. suffruticosa, cylindric, fisherii, francisii, and the complete list. You may have some problems with the flatter thinner species.
If I only have one or two pieces I use a 4" rose pot and put them 1-4 however how many will fit into the same pot. I use dry soil, wait several days then water. I even use the bracts/sheaths they work well. Did I explain this completly for you? Any other questions? Norma
