Pepper Seeds

Two years ago I grew some Bell Peppers can't remember the type but may have been California wonder or something like that.Anyway,I rinsed the seeds off and wrapped them in a paper towel and forgot about them.Well today I found them in a box of other seeds inside a cabinet.Cool and dark.Does anyone think these seeds will germinate.I know it is a little late this year but thought I would give em a shot,or am I just wasting my time?Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.

I've found that the rate of germination on peppers decreases greatly each year they are stored. But you might get a few to germinate.

Hi Rdunn,
You should still be able to get decent germination since you have kept them in a good spot. When you saved the seeds though, was you pepper completely ripe red? If you saved seeds from a green pepper, that will affect the germination greatly and you may not see much germination.

It was a little red but I would'nt say ripe red.It was turning red.
