Do the little guys ever escape into the house?

Only once, early on, when the cover jammed open.

I got that fixed, and it hasn't happened since, not even with the five 1-inch babies that have hatched since : )

So cute. They must be great for keeping bugs in check.
I can only imagine my surprise and utterances if I were

What do you feed them? I have a 55 gal. fish tank I fill with my Sanseveria. They would look great in there. I don't have a top cover. Will they climb 2 feet of glass to escape?

Thank you! They certainly go after just about any insect that is small enough. These little girls (the species is all female) max out at about 4.5" including the tail.

These beauties actually do just fine on nothing but a prepared powdered diet you mix with water. It's called Crested Gecko Diet and can be purchased at most pet stores. I give mine that, as well as various small insects that I raise for them.

You could have quite a colony in a 55 gallon tank! That would be a beautiful sight.

Unfortunately, though, they are VERY accomplished at climbing glass.
