Did I send them to you? lol. I found that some of my Smilacina racemosa seeds I had collected turned moldy in the bag. My guess is that they weren't ready to be plucked, not completely dry and when I put them in the plastic baggie I got mold. I threw mine out. I think if they aren't ready to be harvested they aren't going to be viable (especially if moldy). But, get a second opinion cause I am sort of new at seed saving.

lol No, I didn't get them from you!
But isn't it funny, how when someones makes a post (such as this one) that something was 'wrong' with a trade, everyone's paranoid comes out and they think the post is about them? I know my paranoia always comes out!
Anyway, I'll probably throw them all out, (well, it won't hurt to try a few of the un- moldy looking ones first!)

I have had suprises with seeds I thought were totally dry showing up fuzzy in my seed box. I guess the moral of the story is - do your best and keep experimenting.

You're right about the paranoia coming out. I IMMEDIATELY went to my e-mail to see if we had ever traded (lol). I haven't had anything mold here yet, but I always worry about the heat while they are traveling in a trade. Lea
