I am having a difficult time identifying the seed I am collecting from my prarie conflower plants. When I harvest the seed I am pulling my hand along the tip of the "cone" and the seed (?) comes off in my hand leaving the stem behind. Is this method removing the seed acceptable and if so how can I identify it?
