Perennial Salvia

They were beautiful at first of summer then flopped and fell on ground. I then cut them all back. They are now on ground never stood back up and look horrid. Guess tomorrow I will get rid of every one of the plants as I have dealt with this problem for several years and just thought perhaps it would get better. Anyone else have this problem?

It depends on the particular species and hybrids, as well as your soil, exposure, microclimate, etc.

Can you supply us with some details?

BTW, some sages, like the meadow sages (pratensis, superba, nemerosa) can die back but flush back out later
