Astilbe seeds???? Where? How?

I would love to gather some Astilbe seeds from my pink astilbe. The flowers are fully dried and I should be able to collect the seed easily but I just can't seem to figure out how to do it. I would have thought that if I were to run my hand along the stalks they would easily fall off but NOTHING! Where are the seed and how do I collect them?

Any advice appreciated!

I pull the dried flowers off the stem and plant the whole mess; works fine. That way, you're not taking the chance of discarding seed and keeping chaff :0
