'Goldflame' is the most widespread cv. here in Tenerife. It looks like someone has painted its leaves with a thick layer of lemon yellow enamel. You find hundreds of gorgeous plants in all the "viveros" throughout the island. Since I saw (and immediately bought) the first one three years ago, I suspected it could be an unstable clone. Each leaf grows with wildly different shape and colour. According to Solar_Storm , it is a "' Mericlinal WWG tetraploide entire plant". This suggested me it could give rise to new sports. And, at last, yesterday I found my confirmation. The plant has many yellow longitudinal stripes of different width. But, it is mostly notable for its whitish cross banding , typical of 'Futura', which partially shades the yellow lines.
