Iodantha does take that shape befor blooming. If the flowers are fuchsia and tubular, then iodantha is a good bet. Is this a shady area?

There are a lot of small flowered Mexican sages that this could be. They usually have small blue to lavender flowers.

It was in shade but the leaves have falen it's very large and floppy I feel like it's a race aganst time We've had enormous amounts of rain

My camera was being repaired I just got it back today It still hasn't bloomed but I tried to get a close up and it looks like if it survives intime to bloom it could be magenta colored flowers here's a close-up of the bud
