I think that you find that it is Salvia Farinacea:)

Annette is right it is a farinacea. I purchased those same seeds from Lake Valley seed a few years ago. When I wrote to them to get more information they didn't have a clue what the botanical name was. I think they told me it might be a numerosa. They also said it was hardy to zone 5 when I asked them how hardy it was. Mine never returned but it was one of the last salvias to continue to bloom that year.

I have never bought any more seed from them

Thanks Annette & Penny. LVS definitely has some things that aren't easily identifiable and/or found elsewhere. But, I do like their selection and prices; I get mine at the Christmas Tree Shops, and they're always 50% off list price, which always entices me more. The lack of information does sometimes bother me though, but obviously not so much ;)
We had the worst freeze last night, so far, and this salvia still seems unscathed...

It looks a little like S. farinacea Henry Duelberg to me.
