Fountain grass seed?

What does fountain grass seed look like? I'd been collecting little dark brown things that are about 1/8" long that were intermingled between the "hairs". However today I noticed that the light tan parts with the hairs attached are coming loose on some of the more mature heads. Which is the seed?
