Callicarpa seeds are small white seeds inside the berry. I don't have a picture right now. I have always collected the seed from ripe berries which stay on the bush into the winter here. You could always take a few that dried as well as some that have not. Here is what my source writes which is The Reference Manual of Woody Plant Propagation by Dirr/Heuser

In general for all callicarpas:
No pretreatment necesarry (no cold stratification or scarification) Remove seed from pulp and plant. Germination in 3-5 weeks. One grower reported improved germination after 2 months cold for C. japonica. Another remark under C. american says they had germination without cleaning the seed from the pulp.

I found what I believe is "coral berries" in my new yard. I think I'll try this with them too. The berries look like callicarpa but red instead of lavender. I'd like to have more of them for the edge of the pond.
