I've got the ugliest fire escape that is also the view from my bedroom window - looks like prison bars. I'd love to put a big leafy plant out there that could grow right through the bars and make the view beautiful, but it's already November. Does anyone know of a cold-tolerating evergreen that can live in a planter with Northern exposure?
