Brilliant Beacon Hydrangea.....does anyone have this?

Hi! I posted this question on the hydrangea forum, but it doesn't seem like there is much traffic there.

I bought a variegated hydrangea recently that was labeled Hydrangea macrophylia 'McRachael'/Brilliant Beacon Hydrangea. It came with two tags, one on the plant and one on the pot. One tag gave six feet as the mature size while the other tag said three to four feet.

I have been unable to find anything on the internet about this particular hydrangea and was hoping someone here could help me. I'm wondering if it is brand new or maybe goes by a different name.

It is beautiful, and I would just like to find out how big it will be so I can find a spot for it.

Hi Adona,
Brilliant Beacon may be a trade name used by the grower for a series of plants, like "Color Choice" & "Encore" or a random name applied to a generic Hydrangea for marketing purposes. The greenhouse growers that supply florist's, grocery stores, dept. stores & some nurseries, often have their own names for varieties of plants they grow for that market. It is apparently not a name known in the US and Euro nursery trade.

Thank you, Georgiarose. I was wondering if it was something like that. It seemed too strange when I couldn't find any information about it on Google. I guess it will be my "mystery hydrangea" and I will just have to wait and see how big it will get.
