I bought some fringed bleeding heart (dicentra exima, not spectabilis) a few weeks ago. They were on sale since they'd gotten a little leggy, competing on a crowded table with other, taller plants. The root systems are good, but the stalks are a little long, thin, and yellowish. Can I prune the longer stems or might that kill them?
