Yummy pic of Jubilee Celebration!

Truth time. Which red do you prefer? Fisherman's Friend or Tradescant? Or another? I'm searching for the right one for a Christmas gift. Maybe William Shakespeare 2000? She likes the old fashioned look but I want one that will last a few days cut for her bouquets.

Well, Irisgal, They're different colors, even tho they don't really look it here. FF looks pretty close to true color (at least on my monitor), but TRADESCANT is actually much more burgundy... or almost a dark magenta/plum. They both are lasting about the same. Sorry, I haven't checked scent. They're still down low to the ground, and I don't pick them. I like them both, but FF is definitely more "red" where T is more purply.

Thanks Beth. Ruled out Tradescant.

Beth,

Thanks for sharing, with the exception of 'Ambridge Rose', I haven't any experience with the Austin's you have pictured, and she's not a Z5 rose. She was my 1st favorite Austin.

Regarding drip irrigation, I discovered the same thing for my climbers and Austin's next to the foundation of our house. I also found that if your drainage is too good, you'll have to feed more often. Oh well... keeps us busy. :^D
