Info wanted about unknown plant (should be easy)

In Aug 2008 the place where we were staying in Miller's Canyon, Huachuca Mtns., AZ was surrounded by this plant. We were unable to find out what it was at the time. Please can someone id it for us? And, can you tell us if it would survive our zone 7a (flirts with 0 Â°F) winters?

Ooooh!! That's the prettiest wild Bouvardia I have ever seen! Probably B. ternata, since that's the commonest in AZ, but it might be another species. I sure wish they survived the summer down here!

Appreciate the ID. Thanks! However, guess it won't make it outdoors here. Now that I have a name, further research indicates it might take down to 5 Â°F--we usually get down to 0.
