just got back from vegas and would like the name of a couple plants i saw there

one was growing in all the beds along the sidewalls it was a green maybe an evergreen plant that looked a bit like a juniper but was 2-3 feet tall

the other was in the gardens a the bellagio it was a plant growing in a ball hanging from the trees in the gardens it had thin grayisg green spike like leaves
