Easiest Square Foot Garden?

My wife and I would like to have a square foot garden that is productive but most of all, easy! We don't exactly have green thumbs. I've grown tomatoes, cucumbers, jalapenos, and green peppers in the past few years and for the most part did ok. This year we'd like to grow more of our own food. (We watched "Food, Inc." and have been eating differently ever since).

I plan on growing tomatoes the same way I've been doing them with a row and the Florida Weave. I'm going to grow some cucumbers and vine them up a livestock panel from Tractor Supply. I'm also going to make a 4'x4' box with nothing but strawberries.

I'd like to grow a 4'x4' box of other veggies but don't really know what to grow. What are the easiest/highest yield veggies using the square foot method? We're willing to try just about any veggies. The only thing I can think of that we don't really eat is artichokes and cabbage. Most others are OK in our book. One thing I'd love to have is some sweet onions...

Thanks!!
