Cheap plastic trash can, razor blade, If you have some welded wire around, wrap a section into a trash-can sized cylinder, line with a contractor grade garbage bag, fill with potting mix, and cut slits just large enough to insert the plugs. You could even put a couple of plants on the top. I have to redo my strawberries *again* because of armadillo and poultry damage, and I'm going to go this route and just transfer in the soil contents of the current raised bed.

Great! That is doable. I was trying to think of something with the wire fencing I have. Trash can probably better for looks, I'm visualizing having it sit upside down with the bottom cut out so it's volcano shaped. I already ordered 2 heavy duty grow bags from Parks, 2 pack has 20 holes each for 5.95 and I will put a PVC pipe with holes drilled it it down the middle of the bag to help with the watering. Hang on a shepards hook and have low growing crops underneath. I think I will probably have trouble keeping it watered but maybe it will get me through June. I'll probably also rig up the trash can or wire fence too since I have plenty of berries and this will save so much space. No more weeds no more slugs, no more sow bugs... : )

Fresh, cheap coffee grounds -- unbrewed! -- contain caffeine. A little watering releases the caffeine. Caffeine kills slugs and snails. They will flee from tiny amounts of caffeine in the garden....

You can lightly dust all your greens, but be careful not to dust the flowers that beneficial insects visit. (Coffee is safe around children and pets. You can use your hand to apply coffee. Just reapply after heavy rainfall, or weekly. You don't need much.)

I dust the whole garden area--slugs live in underground "burrow cities." (Vile beyond description....)

I also dusted all my cabbage family plants. I watched a momma cabbage moth dance over one brassica after another. There was no place safe to land and lay her eggs. Awwwwww.
