Several years back the city planning agency flexed their immanent domain and bought several houses in my neighborhood and demolished them for a freeway expansion project. After the project was completed, it became clear that they did not need that many houses and a large empty field was left over. I am beginning the process of trying to turn that field into a community garden for the local elemetary school. I am looking for any info to help me embark on this long nail biting, hair pulling journey. Anyone have any ideas? On funding? Permissions?
