Metal arches for cherry tomatoes

Has anyone tried this? I saw a picture in a library book, of a metal arch with cherry tomatoes growing completely over it. It's a great idea, so I'm going to put two in a row, to form a "tunnel" with cherry tomatoes and pole beans. Any other fun ideas to get kids more involved in the vegetable garden?
