Nice! I wish I had better luck with orchids. I just don't do well with them.

well I tried to grow a miltoniopsis once in there with fatal consequences...a stupid stupid aspiration. But phalaenopsis are doing really good, and rebloomed gracefully this year. I highly recomend them. if it suits for me, propably suits for everyone!!

for lighting I use two Floraset-p (HQL-R 80W) provided by OSRAM.
I have put heating cabbles for winter use only-if there is such thing as a winter in Athens! Today is September 28 and the temperature here in Athens is about
30degreeC...I think a cooling system of some sort would be more apropriate! Any ideas??
for substrate I use cocco-soilI water the plants with low-hardiness water, some fertilizer 4-5 times a year, , and thats it...Really easy- going, and the plants never ever stop growing!

tHATS pretty sick. I am building my second terrarium now, built to house a northern red salamander. I am facinated with mosses and I am curious about what kind of moss you have growing on that log, how you got it to grow there, and how long it took. once again, very nice tank, and great job with the orchids. HOw long have you had it up and running?

Just beautiful... I am fascinated by terrariums, flora in miniature... I love the way they smell, like fresh, moist humus dug from a working compost heap on a warm, rainy day, the same smell present in a clean greenhouse right after a good watering...

I had a cute little terrarium in the mid-seventies, mushroom-shaped, planted with all the favorites... I was too young to care for it properly, and it died... my interest has been renewed by the finding of this forum, and I just happen to have a few empty aquariums and other assorted glass containers... I thought I'd try my hand at creating a miniature garden under glass...
