Revamp action plan, opinions please

Hi, I'm rebuilding my old garden into an SFG. My soil is pretty much dead due to mishandling. Last year I started dividing out the sections. I'm going with amending my existing soil. On the first 3 sections, I double dug and put leaves under the dirt. The last three, I just used a fork to loosen the soil without turning it over. So here's my plan, based on all the reading I've done and hopefully learned from. I'm working toward getting healthy soil.

1. Use a bulb auger to drill in deep holes.

2. Fill holes with finished compost--My SO made me a tumbler, and hopefully it'll be ready in a week or 2.

3. Pour Bug Juice down over the compost--I have it brewing, it'll be done next week.

4. I'm going to go the bait shop and buy some indigenous worms, and put some of them on top of the compost and cover them a little.

Question, if my compost isn't quite ready next week when my bug juice is, can I still use it? If I put the bug juice in without the compost, I'm concerned there won't be enough whatever in the soil to sustain the little buggers.

Am I waaay off on my thinking process here?

Thanks

Karen
