A New Hardy Palm Thread...

Thought that I would start a new hardy palm thread to see how people's palms are doing and to post new plantings, general observations, etc. I know that there was talk at one time of creating a "palm corridor" in east TN along I-75 from Chattanooga to Knoxville. I am happy to report that palms are beginning to become much more common here in Knoxville in the last 5 or so years. It will be interesting to see how everything handled our 2 degree temperature a week or so ago. From my observations in the past 5 or so years, Chinese windmill palms are thus far proving to be hardy on a long term basis. I am going to try to get together a collection of pics to document the current state of hardy palms in Knoxville. I look forward to seeing other posts from palm enthusiasts in the east TN area.
