What do you mean, you still have the sand? Terrariums don't use sand, unless you want to grow cacti in them.

I do not recommend ordering from Black Jungle, but I do seem to be the only one who has had problems with them. The probably ship larger, better plants in the summer, so perhaps wait until then to order from them. Check out your Home Depot for small plants though. They usually have a good selection of plants in small pots for a dollar or less. Lowes is the same deal. I'll also add another one to dragon's list: Cloud Jungle Epiphytes. I have never ordered from them, but apparently they are quite good, and cheaper than most places (in general). They seem to be out of stock a lot though.
Oh, and Andy's is only for orchids, so if you aren't interested in them at all, don't bother to look for other mini plants on his site.

Thank you. I'll look thru the sites and find some to start with. I won't order until the weather gets warmer and I will also keep a look at home depot and lowes for small plants. I appreciate the help. I know I am not in your league, your terrariums sound very exotic. I am more into houseplants, I have a lot of african violets and may try and put a couple mini ones into terrainums. My dad gave me a large glass jug, maybe 7 gallons? It's big. I want to start planting in there but getting them thru the small opening at the top will be tricky, well, the getting them in part won't be the hard part, the moving them around inside and planting will be hard! I'll read some more posts, I am sure there are lots of ideas here.

The SAND. In the 70's, it was a trend to decorate the bottom of bottles and jars with colored sand. Make geometric designs and pictures like of mountains and such with layers of the different colors of sand then pour a hardener into the sand so the plant roots would not get in and disturb the design. Then put potting soil on top of it and plant the plants. I spent a lot of hours crafting.
