Why do you have to purchase them from Lowe's?

I was just using Lowes to mean at my local store. They want to the project early next week so mail order is out of the question. I simply need suggestions for a seed that I can pick up this weekend at my local store. A nursery is fine, but the one near my house has less of a selection than Lowes.

So it doesn't have to be Lowes, just some place I can shop this weekend.

I wish I could help. I don't know of any that stay small enough for a 2 liter bottle except for some carnivorous plants, and those you would have to order. I'm sure there are plenty out there, but I just don't know what they are. Hopefully someone will chime in with some ideas. I'm sorry! Is the bottle going to be placed on the side, which would allow room for more plants if they stay about 1-2 inches tall, or will it be upright, which might have room for only one plant, but you can get one taller? On the packages of seeds it has how tall the mature plant will grow.

The bottle will be upright and the goal is only to get them past sprouting and grow a little bit. I'll check out the seed avialable and pick something with a low growing height, thanks.

Oh, then you can use anything, really, because you can cut the top off once they grow taller. I don't know much about plants except carnivorous ones, but I do know that on the package it gives height and days to germination, so I'm sure you can find one that will sprout quickly. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help.

The two litre bottle thing is useually to keep the system air tight, not that easy when you cut off the top. I'd go with some Grass if I were you, maybe a pansy or impatient or some sort of poppy, nothing with a big seed though.
