Tomatoes are 1 per square foot, so you should plant them about a 12 inches apart. Good luck! I hope you get tomatoes, but from what I understand depending on your zone the season might be too short. Good luck though!

Thanx for the reply I thought thats what I had read before but wanted to be sure. My season isn't short here at all. I'm outside of Atlanta and we don't get any frost till at least late October-early November.

Okay I have planted my tomatoes, put my posts in the ground and run my cable between them. I am wondering how long the strings need to be from the cable that I wrap around the tomato plants? Do I run it down to the ground and leave some slack or what? Here is my layout let me know what you think, the sun runs from the far post to the near post...thanx in advance.
