The most very basic information could provide some help. What is your location/zone, what have temps/rain been, do you know what the bug looks like, and a picture is so important. Otherwise, I wouldn't have a clue.

Berea KY, its been raining a lot. Temps have been varying from 70 to 35. I will watch for bugs but so far can only see/find little white butterflies. No slugs. No bugs. Holes are small and round.

The little white butterflies could be cabbage moths or cabbage white butterflies. Have you checked the plants for little caterpillars? Row covers would be a physical barrier, or Bt is said to work.

It could also be slugs. They often don't show themselves during the day, but you can go out at night with a flashlight to see if they're munching. Low dishes of beer in the garden catch lots for me.
