Me too! My fingers are itching to dig in the dirt!

I did clean out some of my beds a couple of weekends ago, but put a thin layer of mulched leaves over the daylilies that are starting to peak through.

It won't be long before we can start gardening in ernest!!

This year I've been gardening all winter, whenever there's been a day over about 50. Things are still not in "good" condition, but the yard is much better than it could be!

I spent a couple hours yesterday pruning roses, repotting some stuff, and carrying branches around. My witch hazels are in full bloom, my japonicas and Cornelian cherries are just starting, there's a coupla daffs blooming, I've even got one or two buds opening on a couple of my peaches. Spring is springing!

And my frickin' daphne is finally starting to open! I've been waiting for that danged thing for WEEKS. I hope it doesn't end up getting itself frozen!

I've got all my beds cleaned up and yesterday noticed little blue iris blooming! They are only a few inches tall and sooooo pretty! Of course right now it's lightly snowing on them.

This pile of plant catalogs I have here is downright torture! I've been drooling over the pics for weeks! Talk about egging somebody on! Looking at those pics I forget all about the bugs and sweating in the August heat and all I can think about is that I really do need more plants! LOL

Our beds look like crap! The weeds are going to wear me out but I've got to find some time to hit them before it's too late.

We have the baby Iris blooming and Crocus right now. The tulips are up to about 5". Our Daffs haven't bloomed yet but I've seen quite a few in the area that already have.
