Please help identify everygreen tree from Swap

Someone was nice enough to share some small evergreen trees. I think it was an edible, maybe oriental sounding plum or something. Anyway, it made it through our colder than usual winter just fine with all its leaves on. Anyone know what it is? I think it has oval, 3/4" x 1" or so leaves.
