Square Foot Gardening

Miracle Gro or Jungle Grow

has anybody tried just using the Miracle Gro or Jungle Grow mix for vegetable gardens? They both seem to have the same ingredients, peat, compost in varieties (bark, mushroom, etc.), vermiculite as Mel's Mix although I do not know the percentages, but it is very light and holds moisture very well. Anyone?

I have used MG potting soil to grow tomatoes in pots on my deck. Worked well. After one season I add the soil from the pots to my raised beds, replacing the soil in the pots.
This year tomatoes in pots are doing better and are ahead of those in the beds. Only issue is having large enough pot so it doesn't need water twice a day.

I've used both, and here (Mobile, AL) I have to say the Jungle stuff is pretty amazing. Not a fan of the MG for multiple reasons, if you do some searching you'll find a lot of people swear to use anything except MG.
