Plant ID - Blackberry Iris

A friend gave me seeds this week of a plant she calls Blackberry Iris. I'm guessing they are Belamcanda (Blackberry Lily). When I googled Belamcanda the seed images look the same as what she gave me. Has anyone else ever heard of them being called 'iris' or any other idea of what it might be? I'm planting them anyway but curious as to what they are.
