darn i was hoping someone had answered you. Is your terrarium empty? Because if so, you might try CLR. then you'll have to wash it again and again to make sure there is no lingering chemicals.

Next time I clear it out I'll try the CLR. Thank you!!!

Have you tried my soil mix for your moss? I've heard a lot of good things. The chopped sphagnum can actually come back to life and start growing amongst your other moss!

I would think that filling the tank with a vinegar solution and leaving it overnight would take off water marks.

I've had water marks so severe they permanently etched the glass. Found no solution if this happens. Not sure which chemical is the culprit. It can be avoided by using RO or rain water. If the chemicals don't work try polishing with steel wool. Will remove the spots but tends to leave a "haze" on the glass. Will not work on Acrylics. With these you can get a kit for scratch removal
or use jewelers rouge.

I'm afraid that my watermarks are permanently etched. I'll try vinegar and steel wool as a last resort, but fear the marks are permanent.

I use a single-edge razor blade for mine. Just LIGHTLY mist it first, and then scrape along the edge of the glass (sharp side of razorblade on the glass, of course!)
Wipe off the scraped stuff (only word I could think of) with a barely damp paper towel.

I have worked endless hours trying to get water spots off the inside of my terrarium. I have used vinegar to no avail, fabric softener sheets, scrubbing, and nothing worked. I was in my refrigerator and spied my bottle of lemon juice. I poured it full strength in a paper towel and wiped the inside. It worked! Sparkling clean!
