Square Foot Gardening

something ate my peppers

I went out to my garden this morning and all my blossoms and tops are GONE off my pepper plants. It's ONLY my pepper plants. The celery that was in the square next to it was absolutely fine, so is everything else in the garden. This happened last week with my plum tree. I thought about deer, but wouldn't they eat the whole garden?

Any ideas?

but why would they only eat the peppers and not the carrots and celery that were right next to it. I don't think we have bunnies around here. I've never seen one, anyway. It's the top of the peppers that's gone.

I vote for bunnies, too. They really like peppers.
Woodchucks are often out at night, as well.
Gee, where are those night vision goggles when I need them?
(Not sure exactly where your garden is....)

I do need night vision! My garden is in SF Bay Area. I would place my bets on a squirrel. I've never seen a rabbit here. I'm going to get my fence around my garden this week. I'll be really ticked if everything gets eaten as soon as it's ripe!
