what to pull, what to leave

Hello,

First post here from a SFG novice in middle TN.

So far my garden has done fairly well. But I'm wondering whether I should clear out certain plants to make room for some of the prolific summer crops. Should I expect any of these to prosper during consistent 90+ degree temps:

- lettuce

- broccoli

- cabbage

- carrots

- onions

I can't seem to find my SFG book at the moment, so I'd be grateful if anyone could help me as to the viability of these during summer months. I SEEM to recall that the first four, at least, should not do so well in summer. (And besides, my cabbage and broccoli leaves are developing lots of holes in them from being munched on by some creatures).

Thanks!
